The Family Jewels & Purse Strings began over 20 years ago as a home based business to bring exciting, affordable, fashionable jewelry and handbags to the Gainesville Community.  We moved to our current location approximately 10 years ago when our son became a GIA graduate from the Gemological Institute of America, specializing in diamonds and diamond grading.

Our watch repair team is certified in the leading  brands, including Rolex.

We specialize in custom Gator jewelry and many of our rings and money clips contain blue sapphire eyes.

We have a fabulous selection of Gator items – jewelry, handbags, gifts and baby Gator clothing and toys.  This past year we were chosen as the vendors for the University of Florida Alumni Association.  For Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day and for the holiday  season we have special Trunk show – Open House events  and  drawings.
